Giving Tuesday is the Tuesday after Thanksgiving in the US, but is a global movement. First started in 2012, it's meant to unofficially start "giving season." This time of year has previously been linked to spending and shopping, but this day-turned-movement shifts the sentiment from buying to giving, and from the economy to the community. Many folks use this day to give to their local charity or favorite community based organization.
UCC was birthed from a vision of six anchor organizations in 2014. When you support the six, you support communities of color in the urban core. This Giving Tuesday, UCC invites you to support our 6 anchor organizations.
Hear about their work directly from leadership this Monday, November 30th at 7pm on Facebook Live. The video will remain on our Facebook page for future reference.
